CCM artist Stacie Orrico was born March 3, 1986, in Seattle, WA, and is one of fivesome children of Christian missionaries. Orrico began singing at an early years when her family stirred to Denver, CO. She first gained recognition in 1998 at the years of 12 when she received the teetotum purity in the vocalizer category at the Estes Park Christian Artist Seminar. She built her career from that experience and was signed to Forefront Records. Her 2000 debut album, Echt, is a combining of Christian pop up with an urban flare and has been compared stylistically to both Christina Aguilera and Lauryn Hill. Three songs from her debut album, including the Michael W. Smith-produced ballad "Beloved Friend" and the disc's first single, "Don't Look at Me," were written or co-written by Orrico. The next year the offspring vocaliser issued a six-song EP, Yuletide Wish, and soon subsequently was supporting Destiny's Child on their U.S. go (through which she met Mathew Knowles, world Health Organization offered her a care with Virgin Records in 2002). It was her next album, a self-titled 2003 release, that brought Orrico to greater fame, earning her a Grammy nomination, a spot on TRL, and a domain circuit. Still a adolescent, Orrico distinct that the invariant pressure and fast tempo of the music industry was too much for her, so she took a break from it all and moved back in with her family line in Seattle, getting a task in a eating house. She returned to the view in early 2007, nonetheless, with Beautiful Awakening, an album on which she co-wrote many of the songs.

Health Risk Behaviors And Prostate Specific Antigen Awareness Among Men In California

UroToday.com - In the August 2008 issue of the Journal of Urology, Dr. Firas Ahmed and associates investigated the correlation between certain health peril behaviors and awareness of the PSA test among men residing in California. They hypothesized that manpower reporting health risk behaviors would have less sentience of the PSA test.

The study used the 2003 CHIS, a population based, random digit-dialing phone survey conducted between August 2003 and February 2004. It secondhand a sampling approach to randomly select telephone numbers from 41 geographic sampling strata spokesperson of the California population. Interviews were performed in multiple languages and the interview reaction rate was 60%. Men with prostate gland cancer were excluded, going away a study population of 7,297 men.

PSA awareness was determined from the dubiousness "Have you ever heard of the PSA test?" Study variables included smoking status, walking, BMI, and binge alcohol drinking. Personal confounding variables included demographics, socioeconomic position, access to health tending, health status and colon cancer showing. Age, race and ethnicity were too recorded.

Almost half of the subjects were 'tween ages 50 and 60 years. Most were white, married and spoke only English, were up-to-date on colorectal covering and lived most of their lives in the US. Their reported health status was good or better and income were at least 300% of the union poverty stratum. Most had health policy and some college education.

The overall prevalence of PSA awareness in the study population was 73% and the prevalence of PSA examination was 39%. PSA awareness increased with age up to 70-years and then it decreased. PSA awareness was highest in white men and was positively associated with education, income, health status and the number of physician visits in the last twelvemonth. Statistical analysis demonstrated that smoking, physical inactivity and obesity were significantly associated with lour odds of PSA sentience. The preponderance of PSA awareness decreased from 78% of men with no risk behaviors to 71%, 68%, and 55% in men with 1, 2, and 3 or more risk behaviors, respectively.
